Professional suppliers: technology, automation, sustainability

Without technology, we wouldn’t be able to do almost anything. So we are very happy to work with a number of frontrunners in the amazing world of technology and automation and to draw on their innovative and entrepreneurial approaches.

In close cooperation with Wesselman Flowers and seven other tulip growers, Havatec developed a bunching machine that is now running at maximum capacity at our location. In addition, we have been closely involved in the development of Hortidash, a software solution that allows us to digitally monitor all aspects of our production process to ensure compliance.

Hans van der Poel is our Gyro Gearloose. His company, Hans van der Poel BV, which is also located in Roelofarendsveen, effortlessly translates our ideas into machines that make our production process smarter, more sustainable and less physically demanding for our employees. Our tilting machines for changing the water and our bucket filling machines are good examples of this.

Marketing and promotion of tulips

Director-owner Joost Wesselman is a member of the steering committee of Tulpen Promotie Nederland, a foundation established by over 500 tulip growers to promote tulips worldwide, and the initiator of our own, consumer-oriented Tulpen.nl website.

We are a founding friend of FloriWorld, an inspiring plant and flower experience centre based in Aalsmeer that will open its doors to the public in 2020.

Wesselman Flowers is closely involved in the development of Tulip Farm Amsterdam (TFA), a next-level tulip garden that is expected to be completed by mid-2022. Our director-owner not only came up with the idea for TFA , he is also the driving force behind the realisation of this unique concept.
